RONALD CORKERN

Mr. Corkern’s practice principally involves mediation, tort litigation, section 1983 litigation, and products liability litigation. He received his law degree in 1975 form Louisiana State University. While in law school he was selected to participate on the Moot Court. He is a fellow of American College of Trial Lawyers and American Board of trial advocates. He is listed by SuperLawyers as having obtained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement in the area of personal injury litigation.   He is AV rated by Martindale-Hubble. Mr. Corkern is also engaged in the practice of mediations and performs mediation services throughout Louisiana. He is a member of the Natchitoches Bar Association, the Louisiana state Bar Association, and the North Louisiana Federal Bar association.  Ronald provides mediation services through Upstate Mediation, LLC.

STEVEN CREWS

Steve has been engaged in the general civil and criminal practice of law since 1983, specializing in tort litigation, insurance defense, workers’ compensation and civil mediation/arbitration. Steve provides mediation services through Upstate Mediation, LLC.

J. CHRIS GUILLET

Chris Guillet grew up in Natchitoches, graduating from Natchitoches central High school in 1987. Following his graduation from Louisiana State University in 1991, Chris moved to Dallas, Texas, where he worked for several years in the real estate industry, handling land acquisitions through the Southeast for Fairfield Residential, Inc. 

 

Chris graduated from Louisiana State University Law School in 1999, with the designation of Order of the Coif. While attending L.S.U. Law School, Chris served for one year on the staff of the Law Review, and was elected to the L.S.U. law Center Hall of Fame.

 

Chris practiced with the Lake Charles, Louisiana law firm of Scofield, Gerard, Veron, Singletary & Pohorelsky from 1999 through March 2005. In April 2005, Chris returned to Natchitoches, where he maintained a solo practice until he joined the current firm in May 2007.

 

Chris has tried civil and criminal cases at all levels of the Louisiana federal and state court system, including numerous jury trials, appeals, and cases before the Louisiana Supreme Court. Chris’ local practice focuses largely on the needs of individuals and small businesses. In addition, he serves as general and local counsel for numerous larger business clients, including utility companies, manufacturers and government entities.  Chris provides mediation services through Upstate Mediation, LLC.

LISA JOHNSON

Lisa Vienne Johnson joined the firm in 2010. She is licensed in both Virginia and Louisiana. She has extensive experience in the areas of estate planning and successions. Ms. Johnson also practices trial law, representing a wide range of clients, including individual plaintiffs, local businesses, government agencies, and insurance companies.

TINA COFFEY

Tina Coffey has worked with the firm for more than forty years.  She manages the office, schedules and manages mediations, performs paralegal work on cases and transactions, and keeps the clients well informed.

MELANIE PRUDHOMME

Melanie Prudhomme has worked with the firm for more than ten years.  She is the assistant to Lisa V. Johnson, and assists Mrs. Johnson in managing the firm’s estate planning practice.
